Job Description

Job Title: Producer - Sloppy Seconds , Moguls of Media

Overview

Sloppy Seconds is a wildly eclectic and unapologetically fun podcast hosted by drag star and live performer Meatball and rapper/comedian Big Dipper. The show delivers chaotic yet insightful interviews with queer celebrities and dives headfirst into conversations around sex, culture, and food—always with sharp humor and no filter. Produced by the Forever Dog Studios and Moguls of Media, new episodes drop every Tuesday and Friday across major platforms.

Role Summary

We’re seeking a proactive and inventive Producer to join the Sloppy Seconds team on a part-time basis (~20 hours per week). You’ll collaborate closely with Meatball, Big Dipper, and network EPs to shape the show’s creative direction while managing the production process. Working alongside our engineer, editor, and marketing team, you’ll ensure the podcast continues to thrive as a bold, queer, and unapologetic cultural staple.

Recordings typically take place in-person at our North Hollywood, CA studio on Thursdays and Saturdays. Los Angeles–based candidates are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development (50%)

  • Brainstorm and pitch provocative, comedic, and culturally relevant episode topics.

  • Draft episode outlines, segment ideas, and transitions that keep conversations sharp and dynamic.

  • Collaborate with hosts to refine the show’s bold, queer, and unapologetic voice.

  • Research, identify, and book dynamic guests—queer celebrities, comedians, and pop-culture voices—and manage all communications and scheduling.

Production Oversight (50%)

  • Coordinate with the in-studio engineer, post-production, and graphics team to ensure top-tier audio and video.

  • Manage editing workflows and episode delivery for two weekly releases (approx. 8 per month).

  • Oversee ad production and delivery in collaboration with Forever Dog’s Sales and Ad Ops teams.

  • Support integration of listener submissions (voicemails, stories, questions) into episodes.

  • Work with the marketing and social teams to ensure assets, teasers, and blurbs reflect the show’s distinctive voice.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in podcast or digital production, ideally with comedic and/or LGBTQ+ content.

  • Strong ability to ideate bold, culture-forward concepts in line with the show’s sex-positive, no-apologies tone.

  • Excellent scheduling, writing, and interpersonal skills for working with hosts, guests, and production teams.

  • Familiarity with audio editing tools and podcast workflows to effectively collaborate with engineers and editors.

  • Deep awareness of queer culture, pop culture, and contemporary comedy.

  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and adapting quickly to last-minute changes.

What You’ll Bring

  • A fearless creative voice that matches the energy of “two messes who aren’t afraid to speak their minds.”

  • A knack for booking guests who spark candid, juicy, and entertaining conversations.

  • Organizational skills to keep projects on track from guest logistics through final delivery.

  • A collaborative spirit and sense of humor—because Sloppy Seconds thrives on both chaos and precision.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Rate: $6,000/month (part-time, ~20 hours per week)

  • Location: North Hollywood, CA (in-studio presence required for recordings on Thursdays & Saturdays)

Why Join Us?

At Sloppy Seconds , you’ll be part of a boundary-pushing podcast that unapologetically celebrates queer voices, comedy, and candid conversations. It’s a unique opportunity to shape the creative direction of a show where no topic is off-limits and authenticity always comes first.
