Job Overview

Reporting to the Director of R&D, the Culinary Innovation Chef will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Innovation, and Brand Marketing to design and test new product concepts that shape the companys innovation pipeline. This individual will lead culinary development from idea generation through recipe refinement, ensuring concepts are both creative and commercially viable. In addition, the role oversees culinary operations at the companys headquarters, crafting and executing engaging menus for employees while also creating content-ready recipes to support brand campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D, Innovation, and Brand Marketing to design and refine new product concepts that align with consumer insights and market trends.
• Lead kitchen trials and ideation sessions to explore and validate innovative recipes and products.
• Translate culinary creations into scalable formulas for commercial production while balancing quality, flavor, and cost.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop recipe content for campaigns, ensuring dishes are visually engaging for photography, video, and social media.
• Serve as the in-house chef at headquarters, creating and preparing breakfast and lunch menus that enhance employee engagement.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
• Stay current on food trends, techniques, and ingredient innovations to bring fresh inspiration into product and menu development.
• Partner with supply chain and procurement to source high-quality, cost-effective ingredients.
• Represent the company at culinary events, customer tastings, and innovation showcases.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-caliber culinary environment.
• 5+ years of chef experience, with exposure to product development or test kitchen work strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to balance flavor, cost efficiency, and scalability in recipe development.
• Experience working with marketing or brand teams to create recipes designed for consumer-facing content.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to design and execute menus in a fast-paced corporate setting.
• Collaborative mindset with proven success working across R&D, marketing, and innovation functions.
• Knowledge of culinary trends, food safety regulations, and best practices in kitchen operations.
• Passion for innovation and developing products that delight consumers.
