About the Role:

The Assembly Operator plays a critical role in the durable goods manufacturing process by accurately and efficiently assembling components into finished products. This position ensures that all assembly tasks are completed according to established quality standards and production schedules, contributing directly to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing line. The Assembly Operator will work closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Attention to detail and consistency are essential, as the role involves inspecting parts and assemblies to identify defects or deviations. Ultimately, the Assembly Operator helps deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations and company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery according to work instructions and blueprints.
  • Inspect assembled products for quality and accuracy, reporting any defects or issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all safety guidelines and participating in regular housekeeping activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document production activities and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, or diagrams.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
  • Certification in workplace safety or related training.
  • Ability to work overtime if required.
