Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite  with our client in Melbourne, FL . Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Fabricate, sew, and glue various fabrics and materials to assemble aircraft interior components, upholstery, and trim items, according to specifications, using hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and shop equipment.
  • finish results.
  • Cut, bond, and assemble seat cushion foam to the final design and style.
  • Design and fabricate quality patterns for upholstery and foam build for VIP aircraft seating.
  • Operate sewing machine to seam cushions and join various sections of covering material.
  • Fit, install, and secure workpiece material using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, and staples.
  • Adjust and replace webbing, padding, and springs, and secure them in place.
  • Read engineering drawings and knowledge and experience with materials to determine the type and quantities of material necessary for each project.
  • Draw cutting lines on material following patterns, templates, sketches, and blueprints using chalk, pencil, paint, and other methods.
  • Identify areas of potential problems in the upholstery and bring a solution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Hours: 1st Shift 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Length: Contract to Hire.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of upholstery experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience ing various fabrics, leathers, and materials for upholstery work.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Rapid learning and application of new information and concepts.
  • Working knowledge of various hand tools (spray guns, sanders, grinders, saws, drill press, sewing machines.
  • Aircraft, automotive, or marine upholstery experience.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to high-quality, detailed work.
  • Patience and willingness to perform repetitive routines.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work safely and professionally, adhering to all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
