As a Campus Organizer, youll be at the forefront of building a brighter future for all of us - protecting our remaining wildlife and wild places, tackling the plastic waste crisis, eliminating electronic waste and ending planned obsolescence, and more. We believe the best place to start making the changes we want, and to develop the leaders we need, is on college campuses. Were hiring campus organizers to work on over 100 college campuses to help students get organized, mobilized and energized and start building a greener, healthier future for all of us.

Key Responsibilities

As a campus organizer, youll work with one or more college campuses alongside passionate student activists as you help them develop and run strategic campaigns on some of the biggest issues our society is facing. Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and inspiring hundreds of students to take action.
  • Helping students run strategic campaigns. Campus organizers will recruit and train students to run campaigns such as eliminating single-use plastics, protecting wildlife and special places, making college more affordable, and more.
  • Building a coalition. Campus organizers work with student volunteers and interns to build a diverse, invested coalition of organizations.
  • Training students to be effective social change leaders, using skills such as generating grassroots support and coordinating lobby days and news conferences.
  • Building a strong, sustainable, student-funded and student-run organization on campus by fundraising, building relationships with key players on campus, and building our organizational brand.
  • Running a citizen outreach office during the summer , where youll recruit and lead a team of canvassers to fundraise for important issues and help build critical, timely grassroots support to win key campaigns. You may be assigned to a different office location for the summer and should be flexible to move.
