GoAhead Solutions has a great opportunity in San Francisco for an QA Engineer . This would be a six to twelve month contract to hire opportunity.

Job Description:

This position reports to the Technology Manager and supports testing and implementation of the Core program. The Senior QA Engineer works with architects, data analysts, product owners, and business analysts to accept requirements, translate them into test plans, write test cases, develop testing automation harnesses, and perform testing for assigned applications. The role involves creating data testing frameworks and API/microservices frameworks. The Senior QA Engineer coordinates with architects, data analysts, developers, product, and QA Center of Excellence teams to communicate testing design and development effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain modular, extensible, and reusable test automation harnesses and scripts.
2. Develop, automate, and execute test cases to ensure high-quality feature enhancements and an intuitive user experience.
3. Identify and document bugs, assist engineers in troubleshooting issues.
4. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing.
5. Continuously improve tests, identify gaps, and develop strategies to address them.
6. Participate in CI/CD discussions and implementations.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve product goals.
8. Lead test planning and execution, participate in design and backlog discussions.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science or related field required; MSc preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of enterprise software testing experience.
• At least 3+ years of testing automation experience.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with BDD, Test-Driven Development.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques.
• Experience with data automation testing.
• Proficiency with scripting/programming tools such as Python, Java, Perl, Shell.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, API testing tools like SOAP UI, Postman, performance testing with JMeter, security testing.
• Experience with Snowflake and Denodo.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Ant, Ivy).
• Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with vendor integrations, especially in finance.

Professional Skills/Competency:

• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Methodical approach to verifying release quality.
• Apply Quality Engineering principles throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve quality.
• Profile manual acceptance criteria, evaluate automation opportunities.
• Create reusable components and libraries.
• Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
