Why You Want to Work With Us

At Marshall & Stevens, we are building something special. As a growing financial services firm with 200+ employees across the United States, we believe in collaboration, innovation, and the impact every individual can make. You’ll be part of a team that values transparency, career growth, and building a culture of ONE.

What This Role Will Do

As a Senior Associate in Real Estate Valuation, you will actively appraise a wide range of commercial real property for financing, financial reporting, tax, litigation, and transactional purposes. You will work on high-profile projects involving market research, financial modeling, and collaborating with clients, property contacts, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop real estate valuation models using income, cost, and market approaches.
  • Conduct market research on cap rates, sales comparables, rental trends, and macroeconomic influences on property valuation.
  • Perform financial analysis of property-level financials, net operating income (NOI), lease agreements, and investment returns.
  • Prepare appraisal reports, fair market value assessments, and feasibility studies for regulatory, financial, and legal applications.
  • Work closely with developers, investment managers, attorneys, and lenders on valuation-related matters.
  • Assist in litigation-related valuation by providing expert financial analysis for real estate disputes.

What Makes You Successful in This Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or Business. Certified General License is required, and an MAI designation is a plus.
  • 3-6 years of experience in real estate valuation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Argus, and real estate financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of real estate investment, development trends, and property risk assessment.
  • Ability to present valuation results clearly to financial, legal, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and effective research skills.
