Your responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and providing Tier III support for patches and updates, including testing the baseline in the Engineering Operations Facility (EOF) prior to release to the RCCs.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Provides NetOps engineering support for integrating the SIMS NetOps capability into the Army’s global Enterprise, including ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), ArcSight Database, Consoles, and Loggers. Coordinates, reviews, and maintains system documentation. Participates in special projects as required. Develops Enterprise Technical Procedures (ETPs) for applying patches, upgrades, security configurations, and updates to the baseline system in the EOF for testing, in accordance with STIGs. Possesses knowledge of Windows and Linux Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and current DISA hardening protocols.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience: BS degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree. Required Technical Skills: Experience in systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and engineering. Security Clearance Level: Secret. Required Skills and Abilities: Operational experience in implementing and sustaining NetOps capabilities across operational and strategic levels, including support for the Army’s GNE / NSC and joint components. Certification: DoD IAT Level III. Preferred Skills: Industry experience with ArcSight ESM. Location: On customer site.
