We are seeking a talented and dedicated PV Solar Designer to join our team. As a Residential Solar Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing solar energy systems for residential properties. Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer residential solar energy systems, including rooftop solar PV arrays, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create detailed and accurate solar system layouts, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings for residential projects.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate solar potential, shading analysis, roof condition, and electrical considerations, and provide recommendations for optimal system design.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to gather project requirements and design customized solar solutions that meet clients' needs and preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and installation processes.
  • Perform financial analysis and provide cost estimates to assess the feasibility and financial viability of residential solar projects, considering factors such as energy production, system efficiency, and return on investment.
  • Support ongoing projects by providing design updates and revisions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or training in solar energy are preferred.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in designing residential solar systems.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, solar energy principles, and electrical components used in residential solar installations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize solar system designs for maximum energy generation and cost efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in design deliverables.
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
