Overview
SOSi is seeking a Mid-level Nuclear Engineer (Scientific Support) to be part of a unique, multi-discipline team assisting partners to fuse operations and intelligence information to enhance government efforts against current and emerging threats, and counterproliferation efforts.
Essential Job Duties
Support defense analytic requirements with enhanced scientific and engineering research and reverse engineering analysis.
Conduct facility and vulnerability assessments on foreign nuclear capabilities.
Develop innovative analytic and collection concepts across directorate mission areas.
Support assessment of new technologies techniques and methods.
Conduct multi-Intelligence integration.
Plan programming budgeting.
Minimum Requirements
BA degree in relevant field.
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
3 years of experience supporting defense analytic requirements with nuclear engineering research.
In lieu of BA degree, 7+ years of experience supporting defense analytic requirements with nuclear engineering research in lieu of a degree.
Experience reviewing analytical products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support.
Ability to define comprehensive, new, or unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments to address and contribute to high-level tasks.
Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.

Demonstrated in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.

Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic products.
Preferred Qualifications
TS/SCI with a current CI Poly
Knowledge of nuclear sub-disciplines like thermos-hydraulics, seismic events, physics, computational science, or fission reactor engineering.
Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, engineering technologies, or a physical science field.
